Facing transition is not as easy as saying the word. It is an active process of moving from what is familiar to (sometimes) an unknown environment. My first advice to you is to find an expert that can help in this temporary and unstable phase of your life.
When you are facing a life or business transition, I am here to tell you, it is hard. The unknown and the changes we face can become overwhelming. As a career transition coach, I highlight the necessity and the value of collaboration in times of transition. If not careful, we sometimes miss opportunities as circumstances shift around us.
If you are going through change, growth, or no kidding a life transition, who should you listen to? I truly hope you have proximity to good people who can mentor and help you in that temporary phase of your life’s journey.
Recommendations for transitioning careers
Some things I recommend in my career transition coaching services are:
- Be strong enough to create distance from toxic people in your life
- Listen to your intuition and don’t be afraid of doing something new
- Create a quiet space to think and analyze your possibilities
- Find mentors, coaches, and people who believe in you
In life, change is inevitable. And understanding the importance of finding professional growth training is essential at doing the best you can within the resources that are available to you.
Considering the realities of life
What about when our transition affects our career in a different way? As a career transition coach, you would think most of my time is spent with individuals receiving a promotion, having difficulties with subordinates, and/or facing retirement. If that is your theory, you are right! But I too help other types of people with their careers. They are individuals who are going through a difficult time in their lives. This includes a separation, a divorce, or the death of a loved one.
I deal with the reality of life and show my clients that they are not alone. I remind people not to run out of time before finding their true purpose.
In any transition you are going through, please don’t settle for average. Don’t live in the past without giving your dream a chance to become a reality. A career transition is part of life. It is part of you. Are you living your purpose? If not, allow me to help you.
Remember: There is no lack of anything— only limiting choices.
